Cabin Creek Slide Mitigation Project

Project Description

• Repaired and mitigated a large slip resulting from past transmission construction project
• The site was located on a slope directly above active traffic on WV SR 60
• Kwest installed over 63,000 square feet of TECCO Slope System and secured to rock base with drilled soil anchors
• 2,000 linear feet of TECCO Rock Fall Fencing was installed with drilled soil anchors
• Over 10,000 cubic yards of overburden soils was removed utilizing tracked trucks to allow operation on steep slopes
• Spider excavator utilized on slopes less than 1:1
