Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport Expansion and Improvements

Project Description

• Performed excavation and embankment for runway the taxiway expansion and safety area
• Excavation and embankment in excess of 35,000 cubic yards of on-site soil
• Imported approximately 20,000 cubic yards of soil material
• Installed drainage systems totaling 13,000 linear feet of storm conduit
• Widened existing 4,500 feet runway (15′ additional asphalt shoulder added to each side)
• Pavement overlay of 5,000 linear feet of main runway
• Constructed concrete apron area consisting of 11" concrete pavement with embedded aircraft tie-down anchors
• Temporary and permanent pavement markings were placed
• Installed and established the relocated threshold for each project
• Project was completed under strict security and operational constraints
