Mary Jane Thurston State Park Marina Rehabilitation

Project Description

• Reconstructed existing marina at Ohio State Park Facility located on the Maumee River in Henry County, Ohio
• Installed 10 feet high x 300 feet long Aquadam Cofferdam System to isolate marina basin from Maumee River flow
• Systematic initial and maintenance pumping of the existing three acre marina basin
• Sediment filtration and removal system was required to prevent sediment from being discharged into main river channel from pumping operations
• Removed sediment from marina basin
• Installed 450 linear feet of 12” steel pipe piling for docks into underlying bedrock
• Construction of temporary aggregate haul roads
• Removed and reconstruction concrete launch ramp
• Installed 7,400 square foot dock system
