Vassell Substation Site Development
Project Description
- 265-acre greenfield site development for 2 new substations in Delaware County
- 500,000 cubic yards of excavation and used for on-site embankment
- Stripping of 100,000 cubic yards of topsoil and used for final restoration and beautification mounds
- Site drainage includes approximately 1,000 linear feet of storm piping, varying in size from 12” to 36”
- Placement of 30,000 tons of aggregate over 2 substations and access roads
- Upon completion of the project, 100 acres of seeding and mulching were performed along with 10 acres of native seed
